Marlene Blum is the assistant director for strategic communications and develops publications, social media, and web content. Before coming to UO, she worked in marketing and communications for Business and Finance Services at University of California, Los Angeles. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she also worked as a studio manager for photo studios with national advertising clients.
Despite being born in Corvallis on Beaver Creek Road, the first football team Marlene ever rooted for was the Ducks. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband Sandy. A case of wanderlust has led her to explore 25 states and 18 countries—so far. Oregon is still her favorite place.
Michele Civiello is the finance and communications manager for the office of strategic communications. Her role supports not only Strategic Communications but Enrollment Management and Student Orientation as well.
Michele is a transplant from the Northeast where she was the Director of Operations for a busy property management firm in Burlington, Vermont. In this role, she handled not only all the office operations, but also HR, IT, and the firm’s social consciousness.
Michele and her husband hail from the East Coast but were drawn to the Pacific Northwest for all its beauty and opportunities to explore the great outdoors.
Tony is the analyst programmer in the strategic communications team for enrollment management. Tony’s work focuses on web development across multiple platforms. He is also responsible for data integration between various systems. One example is the feed of data from the UO web environment into and out of the CampusNexus Powered by Talisma Constituent Relationship Management system. He integrates web forms with the UO Banner and DuckWeb systems. Tony also builds and maintains custom applications for Financial Aid and Scholarships, Admissions, and Student Orientation.
Prior to coming to the UO, Tony worked in web development in the nonprofit and health care sectors. He is a Whovian from way, way back.
Jett Nilprabhassorn is the interim director of strategic communications. He manages a professional team that leads the Division of Enrollment Management’s communications efforts to recruit, retain, and build relationships with current and new students and their families. Jett helps develop communications strategies and builds campaigns through the university’s Talisma CRM system. He also creates various print publications for the departments in Enrollment Management and its campus partners.
Jett grew up around Baltimore, Maryland and earned his bachelor’s degree from Colorado College. He earned a master’s of interior architecture degree from the University of Oregon and worked as a designer for a local architecture firm for more than five years. He returned to his Duck roots in 2010 working in the Office of Admissions.
Jett grew up a rink rat and continues to play ice hockey every weekend or whenever he isn’t chasing his two children, Roscoe and Jovi. He is married to his beautiful bride, Joy.
Max Zeryck is the CRM communications manager for the Office of Strategic Communications. He produces and delivers content using the university’s Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Max grew up in Portland and attended the University of Oregon. As an undergraduate, Max worked with Strategic Communications to create a mobile app for Enrollment Management using the Guidebook platform. He went on to join the higher education team at Guidebook in San Francisco before returning to the UO.
Max has been fascinated by technology for as long as he can remember. One of his favorite experiences before leaving the Bay Area was visiting the Computer History Museum and seeing an original Apple I.
